May 1, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The May holidays will be marked in Vitebsk by the opening of the concert season at the Summer Amphitheater, the Center for Culture "Vitebsk" informed a BELTA correspondent. The first concert on the main stage of the regional center will take place on May 1. Creative teams of the cultural center will delight Vitebsk residents and city guests with a rich concert program "Under the Sail of a Dream". The original project will feature the pop dance ensemble "Radost", the group "Shuttle", the People's Jewish vocal and choreographic ensemble "Vitebskiye Devchata", the ensemble "Zorka" and other creative groups of the city. A grand festive concert will take place on the stage of the Summer Amphitheater on May 9 as well. On Victory Day, songs of the war years and heart-wrenching old melodies performed by the best artists of the regional center will be heard from its stage for veterans and participants of the Great Patriotic War. The Center for Culture noted that a ceremonial meeting dedicated to this memorable date will be held in Vitebsk on May 8. This year, the traditional festive procession of liberators and city residents on the eve of the holiday will be somewhat shorter: from Freedom Square to Victory Square. At the same time, veterans and war participants will travel it in a specially organized festive motorcade for them. -0-
