The summer health campaign is coming to an end. See you next summer
New acquaintances, warm memories… And the anticipation of future meetings. The summer health campaign is coming to an end. But the vivid memories of its main characters – the children – do not end.
At the children's health camp "Chaika", a sports competition under the sign of the IDN was held during the last shift of this health season. The Inspectorate for Juvenile Affairs of the Public Security Police of the Internal Affairs Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee not only organized fun sports competitions for the children but also conducted a lecture on legal literacy and crime prevention.
— As part of the republican interdepartmental program "Zabota" (Care), we talked with the children about the inadmissibility of committing crimes and offenses. We once again reminded them about the prohibition of drinking alcoholic and low-alcohol beverages in public places and smoking tobacco products,— said Veronika Suvorova, senior inspector of the IDN of the UVD of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, police major.
And, of course, the older comrades could not help but ask the children about how they spend their carefree summer days.
— I really like it at the camp. There are many bright and colorful events, and there are activities based on interests,— shared Anya Krevenko. — You can always find someone to talk to. The children are open, they are not afraid to make friends. I plan to come again next year.
— I like the atmosphere: a large territory, clean air, beautiful views. There is no time to be bored, because the counselors are constantly coming up with something to keep us all busy,— said Mikhail Lazuchenko.
At the "Chaika" camp, almost 200 children undergo health improvement in one shift. Sports and cultural events are held daily, and various thematic clubs operate. There is a library on the camp territory with a total book fund of over 800 items.
A children's health resort camp is an opportunity to discover oneself and the world around. Children become more independent, courageous, and open to new emotions and experiences.
According to the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population, over 14,000 children were health-improved in camps in the region. 33 stationary camps operated, including two new ones: the "Braslavskaya Volna" camp of the education department of the Braslav District Executive Committee with a capacity of 60 children per shift and the "Alyy Parus" camp of the education department of the Shumilino District Executive Committee with a capacity of 70 children per shift. 58 round-the-clock specialized camps operated, where over 1800 children rested. 442 day camps operated on the basis of general education and sports schools in the region, where about 1500 children had a great time, 77 labor and recreation camps, where 1388 teenagers were involved in various forms of employment, and 95 sports and health camps, where 8880 student athletes underwent health improvement. 105 thousand rubles were allocated from the republican budget and 755 thousand rubles from the regional budget for the preparation and strengthening of the material and technical base of suburban health camps; in addition, camp owners' funds were directed towards preparation.
