Lilia Ananich: The call signs of "Slavianski Bazaar" are the calling card of Belarus

The call sign of "Slavianski Bazaar" is the visiting card of Belarus. This was stated today at the opening of the International Press Center of the XXV International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" by the Minister of Information, Lilia Ananich.

"The call sign of "Slavianski Bazaar" is the visiting card not only of Vitebsk. It is the visiting card of our country. For 25 years, the Republic of Belarus has been carrying a high mission: "Through art – to peace and mutual understanding." Thanks to the media, readers, viewers, listeners, and a multi-million online audience have the opportunity to learn firsthand about the main, bright things, about what the festival Vitebsk and our country are living through these days. It is important for the press to see the mood of the people of Vitebsk, of Belarus. The mood to create. The most important thing in this world is to affirm good," said Lilia Ananich, greeting the journalists.

She reported that over 500 journalists from 10 countries, including Belarus, are accredited to the forum this year. Such representation guarantees a high level of information and the popularization of culture. According to the minister, the uniqueness of the festival lies in its essence – discovering new names of young performers. "After all, it is enough to be talented, to come to "Slavianski Bazaar" – and to get a ticket to a new life. How pleasant it was when Taisiya Povaliy said in Alexandria: "Thank you, Belarus, for discovering me at "Slavianski Bazaar." This is worth a lot. The uniqueness of the festival also lies in the fact that the geography is expanding year after year. Representatives from near and far countries come to Vitebsk to share their creativity and absorb our Belarusian culture.

We are celebrating such a significant anniversary in the Year of Culture – 25 years of the festival – and, of course, we are showcasing our country," emphasized Lilia Ananich. She presented several honorary diplomas of the Ministry of Information based on the results of work at "Slavianski Bazaar-2015" to correspondents of BELTA, the Second National Television Channel, the republican newspaper "Zvyazda," and the regional newspaper "Vitebskiye Vesti." The minister announced that these are not the last awards that will be presented during the current forum.
