The ecological festival "Cranes and Cranberries of the Miory Region" will gather nature lovers

The main events of the festival will take place on September 17. On this day, local residents and their numerous guests will take part in the grand opening of the sculptural composition "Crane Fidelity" in the city center.

In the city park "Poluostrov" there will be exhibitions and sales of folk crafts "Zhuravlinaya skarbonka" with master classes, an exposition of ecological literature, and thematic platforms for agro-estates, youth, and creative groups. Traditionally, the winners of the district landscaping competition, the winners of the rural homestead competition, the winners of the cranberry collection competition, and the best cranberry suppliers will be awarded. Throughout the day, a bus will run from the park, on which everyone can get to the crane observation point or visit excursions on the ecological trail "Ozeravki-Elnya". A free excursion program will be offered on this day at the "Elnya" visitor center.

Every year, "Cranes and Cranberries of the Miory Region" attract more and more guests, and the program is expanding, so some events are planned in the run-up to the main day of the festival, noted the district executive committee. Thus, today the competition for the best cranberry supplier has started in the Miory district, and an ecological week has begun in its educational institutions. On September 14, townspeople with their families will be able to observe cranes, for which special transportation will be organized.

On September 15, a tournament in the intellectual game "What? Where? When?" for the cup of the Chairman of the Miory District Executive Committee on environmental issues will be held. For the first time, it will be held in an inter-district status: 17 teams will compete for victory, including teams from Braslavsky, Sharkovshchinsky, Gluboksky, Rossonovsky, and Verkhnedvinsky districts. The organizers of the ecological festival are the Miory District Executive Committee and the "Elnya" reserve.
