People trust the current government, and officials have no right to work poorly - N. Domashkevich
December 22, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The presidential elections in Belarus have shown that people trust the current government, and officials have no right to work poorly. This was stated today by the President's aide - chief inspector for the Vitebsk region, Nikolai Domashkevich, during a direct telephone line with residents of the Vitebsk region, a BELTA correspondent reports.
According to Nikolai Domashkevich, in working with citizens' appeals, the main thing for a civil servant is "not to hide behind instructions, not to detach from people." "Some officials cling to their seats so much that they are afraid to solve people's problems," he stated. Sometimes there are still cases when, due to the sluggishness of the performers, decisions on justified appeals from citizens are not implemented. Nikolai Domashkevich believes that the personal control of the manager will contribute to fostering a sense of responsibility in subordinates.
During the direct line, Nikolai Domashkevich answered 36 calls from residents of the Vitebsk region. Along with private issues, citizens raised problems of improving and developing villages, and residential areas in Vitebsk. The President's aide noted that significant budget funds are needed to solve these issues. Budget replenishment is possible only through the profitable work of industrial and agricultural enterprises, increasing production rates, and improving labor productivity.
The Vitebsk region faces a serious task: to achieve self-supporting operations of agro-industrial complex enterprises within the next two years and reduce the region's budget dependence on the work of the fuel and energy complex, including OJSC Naftan. According to Nikolai Domashkevich, the region does not use its most important reserve - people's knowledge. Issues of training and education of personnel require constant attention, he emphasized. -0-
