LLK-Naftan shipped the first batch of products to the Iranian market

Novopolotsk CJSC "LLK-Naftan" shipped the first batch of lubricant additives to partners from Iran and expects to subsequently establish itself in this new and promising sales market.

According to Mikhail Babushkin, General Director of CJSC "LLK-Naftan", the company began working on entering the Iranian market in early 2016. Representatives of the Belarusian manufacturer took part in an international conference on lubricants in Tehran.

Following the event, negotiations were held, and subsequently, a contract was signed for the supply of a batch of oil additives in the amount of 50 tons. Until recently, the development of this country was hampered by economic sanctions. Their lifting in early 2016 opened up new opportunities for local businesses, including oil producers, and consequently, their demand for products similar to those offered by "LLK-Naftan" will increase. The domestic company intends to take advantage of this, especially since, according to expert estimates, the capacity of the Iranian market will increase in the future.

Although it should be clearly understood that operations must be conducted under conditions of intensifying competition, especially from Chinese manufacturers. It is sufficient to note that one of the rapidly growing companies from China recently commissioned a plant in Dubai with an annual capacity of 30 thousand tons of additives, which is specifically focused on operating in the Middle East region.

The General Director of "LLK-Naftan" expects the company to establish itself in Iran and continue its expansion in this market. In addition, in July, the enterprise introduced its products to Sudan for the first time. This concerns sulfonate high-alkaline additives and additive packages for motor oils, which form the basis of the product range in demand in the countries of Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

The stable success of the enterprise in foreign markets is achieved through several factors. The company is actively working to reduce costs, which allows it to maintain price competitiveness.

In addition, the domestic manufacturer

withstands competition in quality, including by offering products that meet the specific requirements of consumers in each particular region, while also providing technical sales support, promptly resolving emerging issues.

Thanks to active marketing and technical work, "LLK-Naftan" has maintained for several years the share of products shipped to far abroad countries, including new promising markets, at a level exceeding 50% of total exports. At the same time, the share of supplies to foreign markets is about 95% of the production volume.

Today, the enterprise cooperates with partners from more than 25 countries, including India and Nigeria, where the company entered at the end of 2015. Opportunities for expanding presence in African countries, as well as options for interaction with manufacturers from other regions, are being worked out. Currently, "LLK-Naftan" has about 30 types of additives, a dozen types of lubricating oils, and other petrochemical products in its production portfolio.
