November 23, Minsk / Anna Kot - BELTA /. SOOO "LLK-Naftan" has invested almost $1.4 million in the development of the enterprise this year. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Mikhail Babushkin, Deputy Director for Production and Technical Issues of SOOO. The funds were directed towards the development and testing of new additive packages for motor oils under the import substitution program (RA-4501, RA-4502, RA-2503-2, RA-2503-3). Design work is underway to modernize production, and projects are being implemented to replace outdated equipment. Measures aimed at ensuring industrial safety have been introduced. "The main task of LLK-Naftan in the near future is to continue working on import substitution of additives, as well as replacing equipment and modernizing production," noted Mikhail Babushkin. The technical development program of SOOO is planned until 2017. In subsequent years, it is planned to invest approximately $2-2.5 million per year in the implementation of its tasks. In this case, funds for the development of the enterprise primarily come from the sale of new products. The program is aimed at mastering the production of new types of products – additive packages for lubricating oils. The organization of domestic additive package production will allow for large-scale import substitution, displacing similar expensive products from leading global American companies, primarily in the production of oils in Belarus and in the Russian oil company LUKOIL. The production of additives is a science-intensive process due to the constant need to introduce new chemical compounds that provide the most effective performance properties for modern and prospective lubricating oils. Therefore, scientific research at the enterprise is an integral part of the technical development program. In particular, tests of lubricating oils with new additives are being conducted at domestic and foreign centers, and the technological scheme for additive production is being reconstructed. The replacement of morally obsolete and physically worn-out equipment is also being carried out, and a high level of industrial safety of production is ensured. SOOO "LLK-Naftan" was established on April 28, 2006. The founders are OJSC "Naftan" (Belarus) and LLK International B.V. (Netherlands, a subsidiary of OJSC LUKOIL, Russia). The main activities of LLK-Naftan include the production and sale of additives and additive packages for lubricating oils, with the priority supply of these products to OJSC "Naftan" and LUKOIL plants, including in order to reduce the dependence of these enterprises on imports of additives from far abroad. At the same time, LLK-Naftan has the largest production capacities for the production of oil additives in the CIS. The product range includes products of various functional groups capable of providing a wide range of performance properties for oils.-0-
