The best media and journalists of the region were awarded in Vitebsk

The quality of the information product is determined by your civic stance, intellect, knowledge, objectivity, and integrity. It is not easy to get to the truth, to help readers, viewers, and listeners understand what is happening in the world. You participate in shaping people's social mood and the image of the region. Your position should be to expose shortcomings, identify them, analyze their causes, and show ways to solve them, – Nikolai Sherstnev addressed the journalistic community.
It is precisely on this principle that the editorial offices that won the regional creative competition of print media for the Francysk Skaryna Prize and electronic media for the "Vityaz" Prize for 2017, the results of which were summed up in a solemn ceremony at the regional executive committee, operate.
Thus, the district publications "Rodnyya Vytoki" (Dokshitsy) and "Vesnіk Glybochchyny" (Glubokoye) were recognized as the best newspapers in the region.
The website of the regional newspaper "Vitebskiye Vesti" was named the best official Internet resource of print media.
Alena Tikhonova, special correspondent of BelTA for the Vitebsk region, the Vitebsk bureau of Belteлераdіоcompany, and the editorial team of "Lepelsky Krai" were noted for their creative projects.
The "Vityaz" award was presented to Novopolotsk's "Vector TV" and the radio program "Utro Pridvinya" of the "Vitebsk" TV and Radio Company. Individual representatives of the profession also received the award from the hands of the chairman of the regional executive committee, including photojournalist Oleg Klimovich from the city newspaper "Vitbichi".
The Investigative Committee, the Department of Internal Affairs, the regional prosecutor's office, and the trade union association presented their gratitude for effective cooperation to the journalists.
