The best landscapers in the Vitebsk region were the employees of the Novolukoml enterprise "Kommunalnik"

"Native Land", "Land of Two Rivers", "Beaver Hut" – such unusual flower beds have appeared in Dubrovno. 30 florists and landscape designers from different parts of the region came to the district center to choose the strongest in the regional competition of professional skills among employees of green construction, who, as part of the competition, decorated the capital of the regional "Dazhynki".

As noted by Larisa Volkova, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the Belarusian Trade Union of Workers of Local Industry and Public Utilities, thanks to the organizers – the regional committee of the trade union and the department of housing and communal services of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee – this colorful competition in all senses has been "traveling" through various cities and district centers of the Vitebsk region for several years. This year, it "landed" in Dubrovno and presented a real festival of beauty, creativity, and imagination on the eve of the regional holiday of agricultural workers.

Thousands of flowers, ornamental plants and shrubs, kilograms of marble chips, original structures and architectural forms – the landscapers faced a difficult task – to turn the settlement into a large flower garden. Flower beds were laid out along the main streets and near service buildings. As a result, 8 living panels and thematic floral compositions were created. Professionals surprised with everything: the variety of flowers, their colorfulness, stylish and beautiful design. When evaluating the works, the complexity of the flower garden, the quality and assortment of seedlings, the use of small architectural forms and inert materials, the brightness, boldness, and originality of the compositional solutions were also taken into account.

In addition, the participants demonstrated their theoretical knowledge by answering 10 specialized questions on the technology of creating flower gardens, planting shrubs and trees, rules and techniques for caring for plantings and flower crops, and labor protection.

As a result, the laurels of victory went to the florists of the Novolukoml enterprise "Kommunalnik". They named their floral composition "Beaver Hut". It used over 200 marigolds, ageratum, cineraria, and other plantings.

“We wanted our flowerbed composition to delight local residents with its beauty and originality,” commented the landscapers from Novolukoml on their creation.

Second place was taken by the team of the housing and communal services enterprise of the Gluboksky district, and third place by the hosts, “Dubrovno-Kommunalnik”. The best composition was recognized as the flower garden “Maya Radzima” by the enterprise “Kohanovo-ZhKKh”. As part of the event, employees of the “Zelienkhoz” enterprise held a master class for the competition participants.

The winning teams and all participants received diplomas and valuable prizes from the regional trade union committee.
