The best entrepreneurs of the Vitebsk region were recognized as 10 economic entities
Ten economic entities became the winners of the "Best Entrepreneur of the Vitebsk Region 2012" competition, a BELTA correspondent reports.
According to the competition results, in the "Best Entrepreneur in the Industrial Goods Production Sphere" nomination, the winner was LLC "Production Enterprise "Karto-pak" (Polotsk). The best entrepreneur in the construction activities sphere was recognized as LLC "Construction Company RUMstroy" (Vitebsk). In the retail trade sphere, LLC "Praktik-Polotsk" (Polotsk) was recognized as the best, and in the public catering sphere - LLC "Arena-pizza" (Vitebsk). The winner of the regional competition in the medical and pharmaceutical activities sphere was recognized as IECCUP "Vik - Animal Health" (Vitebsk). The best infrastructure entity for entrepreneurship support was KCCUP "Vitebsk Regional Marketing Center" (Vitebsk). In the innovative activities sphere, the victory went to PE "Vitstroytehmash" (Vitebsk). The best organization with foreign investments was named CJSC "OknaInvest" (Vitebsk), the best exporting enterprise - CJSC "LLK-NAFTAN" (Novopolotsk), and the best entrepreneur organizing jobs - LLC "Allianceplast" (Vitebsk).
Oleg Matskevich, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, presented commemorative signs and diplomas to the winners and laureates of the "Best Entrepreneur of the Vitebsk Region 2012" competition. He emphasized that creating favorable conditions for the formation and functioning of the entrepreneurial environment is one of the most important national priorities. "Entrepreneurship plays an important role in creating the region's internal regional product, increasing the competitiveness of manufactured products, labor productivity, the efficiency of foreign economic activity, and attracting investment," said Oleg Matskevich.
Currently, more than 150,000 people are employed in the region's small and medium-sized businesses, which is 27% of the employed in the national economy. 26,000 individual entrepreneurs and more than 9,000 business entities are operating.
