Vitebsk's best volunteer police officers will be chosen on October 5

The best vigilantes of the city will be chosen in Vitebsk, the Department for Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. The city review competition among volunteer vigilantes of educational institutions in Vitebsk will be held on October 5 in the Park of Culture and Recreation named after the Soviet Army. Ten teams with a total number of about 60 people will take part in the competition. The competition program includes contests in sports and applied all-around, which include a set of strength exercises, running and grenade throwing, tasks for shooting from an air rifle, and testing knowledge of legal and medical and sanitary training. Based on the results of the competition, winners will be determined in individual and team categories. The best vigilantes will be awarded cups, honorary diplomas, and prizes. The event is designed to promote the prestige and popularization of the law enforcement movement, develop interest in service in the internal affairs bodies, and promote a healthy lifestyle. The organizers of the event are the Department for Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee and the Department of Internal Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee, together with the Vitebsk Regional United Organizational Structure of DOSAAF and the Vitebsk City Committee of BRSM. -0-
