The best medics of the Vitebsk region were honored in Orsha
– Health is one of the most important values, a guarantee of well-being and success. The health of the nation is the asset of Belarus and one of the most important priorities of state policy, – emphasized Anatoly Konstantinovich. – That is why such close attention is paid by the President of our country to every medical institution – from a small rural FAP to a modern metropolitan clinic. The head of state’s directive, voiced at the May meeting on healthcare issues, is not only a call to action but also an impressive vote of confidence that you have earned from our population during the fight against the pandemic.
Anatoly Linevich noted that significant modernization of the region's healthcare has been carried out over the past year. Thus, new MRI scanners appeared in Orsha and Polotsk, three X-ray rooms are operating in the regional center, and the Regional Clinical Specialized Center, meeting the highest standards, has been opened. District healthcare is being modernized in stages.
– The region’s special pride is the high indicators and achievements in the field of maternal and child health protection, – Anatoly Linevich stated. – The Early Intervention Center opened a few days ago in Novopolotsk is further confirmation of the progressive movement of regional medicine in this direction. Indicators for major groups of diseases have improved, including vascular pathology and oncology. The vehicle fleet has been noticeably updated. Since June 2022, 14 ambulances have been transferred to inter-district medical centers. The first mobile medical complex in the region started operating in the Gluboksky district. Another 10 are expected to arrive in the near future.
The medical professionals were congratulated and thanked for their invaluable contribution to the development of healthcare in the Vitebsk region by Mikhail Vishnevetsky, Head of the Main Department for Healthcare of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Vladimir Plytkevich, Chairman of the regional organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers, Alexey Chukanov, Rector of the Vitebsk State Order of Friendship of Peoples Medical University, and Ekaterina Boriseevich, General Director of the Vitebsk Trade and Production Republican Unitary Enterprise "Farmatsiya".
