The region's best police officers were honored in Vitebsk on their professional holiday
In Vitebsk, on their professional holiday, 50 police officers of the Vitebsk region received well-deserved awards.
The traditional festive events for the police officers of Vitebsk region began with a requiem rally, where colleagues who gave their lives in service to the people are remembered. Heads of regional and district departments, young officers, cadets, and members of the military-patriotic club laid flowers at the memorial sign in honor of employees who died in the line of duty. Also, the head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Andrey Lyubimov, presented awards to 50 distinguished officers.

We honor the most distinguished employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Vitebsk police. I want to note that the holiday is not only professional, it has become a family and, to some extent, a people's holiday - citizens send congratulations on this day. I want to wish everyone a peaceful sky above their heads, the strongest health, optimism, strength, and patience. And for every employee of the internal affairs bodies - professional growth, success, well-being, and happiness," emphasized the head of the Internal Affairs Directorate.
In addition to the people in police uniforms, parents of law enforcement officers were also honored at the ceremony. The mother and father of one of the police officers received a letter of gratitude from the Minister of Internal Affairs for raising their son, who diligently fulfills his service duty.
"It has become a tradition to honor the parents of our employees who honorably fulfill the tasks set for them. We believe that family is thedialogue of future success for both a police officer and any citizen of our society. The traditions instilled in the family, the kindness, the love for the Motherland are subsequently embodied in service activities. It is already a good tradition to congratulate, on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs, parents who have participated in raising children and are actively involved in public activities," shared Andrey Lyubimov.
