The best managers of the year were named in the Vitebsk region

The Vitebsk Regional Employers' Association (VREA) has summed up the results of the traditional competition among top managers of enterprises and organizations based on their performance in 2016, a challenging year for the real sector of the economy. For the second consecutive time, 16 directors have been recognized among the best by the largest regional association.

A modern manager must not only be a competent specialist but also possess leadership qualities, creative thinking, and analytical abilities that allow them to forecast development scenarios and respond adequately. Based on these criteria and an analysis of approximately 20 indicators of the organizations' financial and economic performance, the recipients of the honorary title "Best Manager of the Year of Vitebsk Region" were determined, noted the chairman of the employers' association, Vladimir Turavinov. The competition is designed to stimulate the improvement of the business qualifications and professionalism of the director corps, which is of particular relevance in the face of intensifying competition and high turbulence in the external environment.

The winners include Sergey Gunko (Vityaz OJSC), Sergey Panevkin (Novmash Vitebsk Machine-Building Plant SZАО), Sergey Romanenko (ZhBIK Combine branch of Orsha Construction Trust No. 18 OJSC), Viktor Amelchenko (Mogotex OJSC branch in Polotsk), Mikhail Babushkin (LLK-Naftan SOOO), Dmitry Nesmirny (Chisty Istok 1872 OJSC, Chashniki District), Pavel Tisetsky (DEU No. 35 branch of Vitebskavtodor RUP, Glubokoe District), Alexander Shokel (Miory Feed Mill OJSC), Galina Galenko (Beshankovichsky Raipo), Anatoly Lisovsky (Poludetki branch of Moloko OJSC, Vitebsk District), Sergey Yakushevich (Gorodok Forestry Enterprise), Vladimir Antankov (Liozno Grain Elevator RUP), Sergey Lityago (Masherov Sovkhoz SUP, Sennensky District), Stanislav Zavadsky (Ushachi District Housing and Communal Services UP), Mikhail Yakimovich (Elnya-Agro OJSC, Sharkovshchinsky District), and Ruslan Nastyushkin (Shumilino Road Repair and Construction Administration No. 204 branch of Vitebskoblstroy KUP).

The candidacies of the contenders for the honorary title are submitted

structural divisions of the employers' union. The number of prize vacancies was expanded two years ago after the creation of VOSN branches in all districts. This is done to increase the activity and effectiveness of the business community's participation in the regulation of regional socio-economic processes, and involving them in the competition should contribute to the growth of the employers' association's authority as a whole.

The winners will be awarded with honorary diplomas and valuable gifts in a ceremonial setting at one of the union's upcoming events. In addition, the VOSN management is petitioning higher organizations and founders of enterprises to reward the holders of the honorary title.
