The best large family of the year was chosen in the Vitebsk region

The annual event has long become the best demonstration of family as the main value, and for parents and children themselves – an opportunity to escape from everyday life and worries, try themselves in a new role, showcase their talents, and have a great time all together.

Thus, for the first time, Natalia and Yuri Kokhanovichi with three children from Braslav region took the stage as a whole family. As the mother said, the head of the family serves in the district department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Security Department, so it is not often possible to dedicate time to family members, and the preparation for the competition and the creative competition itself only strengthened their team spirit and served as a good reason to spend time together. And the stage debut brought its result – the Kokhanovichi family were recognized in the nomination "My Family".

The Kravchuk family from Vitebsk captivated the jury with their humor and enthusiasm, and they won the title "Best Large Family of Vitebsk Region-2017". Mother Elena is an English teacher at school, father Oleg is the chief accountant at a private enterprise, daughter Kristina and sons Igor and Pasha study at school.

The Sorin family from Novopolotsk, a family business

"Family is not work," the couple is sure. Perhaps that is why the performance and victory came easily and with pleasure to them. The yellow color, which this team chose as their signature for their performance, also reminded of joy in big and small things, as well as fun and a sense of humor.

Second place went to the Sorins from Novopolotsk, and the third-degree diploma went to the Demyanovs from Miory district.

In total, in the Vitebsk region, as reported by Nina Kolymaga, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Regional Executive Committee, there are 155 thousand families raising children, of which 8 thousand are large families.

– The established and consistently functioning system of support for families with children has been strengthened over the past five years, becoming more extensive and comprehensive, and has received high international recognition. For example, in the ranking of countries favorable for childbirth, Belarus took 25th place out of 179. Upon the birth of a child in our republic, approximately 11 types of benefits are awarded. In 2015, this support system was strengthened by such a new element as family capital upon the birth of a third and subsequent child. State financial support is an important factor in strengthening the family, however, the main burden of raising the younger generation falls on the shoulders of parents. The further development of our society depends on how successfully they manage to instill moral and ethical guidelines in the child, – emphasizes Nina Ivanovna.
