Lukomlskaya GRES generated over 9 billion kWh of electricity in 11 months

Every fourth kilowatt of electricity in Belarus is generated by the Lukomlskaya GRES. As reported by "Vitebskenergo", for 11 months the volume of electricity generation at the GRES exceeded 9 billion kWh. This is the most powerful station in the country.

Lukomlskaya GRES has undergone a phased renewal of its production assets: power units have been modernized, an automatic system for regulating their capacity and frequency has been implemented, high-efficiency equipment has been installed, and work has been carried out to expand the regulation range of the units to ensure operation under the conditions of the Belarusian NPP functioning.

At the end of 2020, a large-scale reconstruction of the heating system was completed at the station with the installation of an additional heat source with gas-oil steam boilers and two hot water electric boilers. As noted in the press service of the Ministry of Energy, work at the station continues. Currently, the construction of a peak-reserve power source based on gas turbine units with a capacity of 150 MW is underway at the GRES.
