The lion cub flew by plane from Kaliningrad to Minsk

October 14, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. An unusual passenger has just arrived at Minsk National Airport on flight B2 1950 from Kaliningrad. For the first time, a lion cub has been delivered by Belavia aircraft, the National Airline informed a BELTA correspondent. The lion cub is only 10 months old. It was transported in a cage in the aircraft's cargo hold. To accommodate the cage, the airline company specifically sent an aircraft with a larger cargo hold volume, a CRJ-200, for this flight, and a comfortable temperature of ten degrees Celsius was maintained in the hold for the animal. As noted by Belavia, among the animals that use air transport services with their owners, cats and dogs are the most common. The company recalled cases of ferrets and monkeys flying, but the most memorable was a flight to Baku with two crocodiles in 2009. The crocodiles' long tails had to be curled up, otherwise they would not have fit into the cargo hold. Meanwhile, another journey awaits the lion cub. This time, it will be overland. In a few hours, it will be delivered by a cargo minibus to its new home - the Vitebsk Zoo. -0-
