Maloyaroslavets is interested in the production of a monument to the heroes of the Patriotic War of 1812 by a Polotsk enterprise
May 21, Polotsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The city of Maloyaroslavets (Kaluga region of the Russian Federation) is interested in attracting OJSC "Tekhnolist-Polotsk" to manufacture a monument-chapel to the heroes of the Patriotic War of 1812. This was announced today before the opening of the monument to the heroes of the war of 1812 in Polotsk by the head of the administration of Maloyaroslavets Alexander Geizer, BELTA correspondent reports.
Maloyaroslavets, like Polotsk, was one of the seven cities where monuments were erected in the mid-19th century in memory of the most significant battles of the War of 1812. In the early 30s of the last century, the monument was destroyed, and now, on the eve of the 200th anniversary of the victory over Napoleon's troops, the administration of Maloyaroslavets intends to restore the historical relic.
Having seen the Polotsk monument, the administration of Maloyaroslavets expressed hope for cooperation with the Polotsk enterprise that was involved in casting the monument. "Excellent quality of work, beautiful design around the monument," shared the head of the administration of Maloyaroslavets. In his opinion, cooperation with OJSC "Tekhnolist-Polotsk" can initiate further business contacts between the two cities. -0-
