"Unity Marathon" is scaling up. Organizers on expanding the geography and content of the event
The Republican socio-cultural event "Unity Marathon" is scaling up in various aspects. Anna Lukashenko, head of the working group for the organization and conduct of the event, spoke in the BELTA project "The Country is Talking" about how the event program is growing and whether new cities might appear in its route.
The head of the working group for the organization and conduct of the event recalled that initially the list of cities on the "Unity Marathon" map was determined by the simplest principle: settlements where there is a technical base for holding the event. "The initial task of the 'Marathon', set by the head of state, is a large-scale concert. Then, when we started to work out the format, we realized that we should enrich it not only with a concert program, but also with various events within the framework of a two-day stay in each city. By the fifth city, we had grown, probably more than threefold," she explained.

The event has grown with new projects. And the exhibition part has been extended for two days so that more people can familiarize themselves with the expositions. For example, five exhibitions were brought to Mogilev, two of which are from BELTA. "The more, the merrier. And from the perspective of master classes, we looked and realized that this is a very necessary and in-demand format," Anna Lukashenko emphasized.
Regarding the geography of the "Unity Marathon," the position remains the same. "We understood and understand that such a maximally high-quality and large concert-show can only be presented on large venues. Accordingly, we initially identified regional centers, and then cities with large venues that can accommodate us. We would really like to visit every city, honestly. But it is quite difficult both physically and in terms of the venue meeting certain technical requirements for holding a concert. Therefore, we are expanding within the framework of those cities where it is possible."- noted the group leader. In addition, in the regions and cities where the "Marathon" arrives, maximum efforts are made to ensure that not only residents of nearby cities but also neighboring districts can join the event. "Certainly. They try to cover everyone as much as possible. And representatives from each district are present at the concert within the region," she added.
On November 29 and 30, the "Unity Marathon" will be held in Vitebsk. According to the organizers, new projects will also appear here. Traditional formats of the republican event will also be implemented. In particular, the "Doing One Thing" project: colleagues from OJSC "Vityaz" will visit the team of UP "Polymerkonstruktsiya", and employees of OJSC "Naftan" will visit "Energokomplekt". As part of the social and cultural event "Unity Marathon" in Vitebsk, "NOT boring NOT lectures" will also be held. The organizers of the "Marathon" also invite everyone to the now traditional "Symbolic Meeting", which will take place at the shopping center "TRIO" with the participation of the Chairman of the Belteleradiocompany Ivan Eismont, General Director of BELTA Irina Akulovich, and Editor-in-Chief of "Alfa Radio" Vadim Shepet.
