"Marko" opens the largest trade and logistics center in the Vitebsk region

"Марко" открывает крупнейший в Витебской области торгово-логистический центр

The grand opening of the trade and logistics center (TLC) of the "Belarusian Leather and Footwear Company "Marko" holding will take place on December 17, the "Bellesprom" concern reported.

This is the first facility of this scale in the Vitebsk region. Its construction and commissioning are carried out in the context of the investment project "Creation of production capacities for the output of footwear up to 5 million pairs per year and reconstruction of the fur factory, taking into account the creation of the "Belarusian Leather and Footwear Company "Marko" holding for 2013-2024". The project is implemented in accordance with the decree on measures for the development of leather and fur production and footwear production.

For the manufacturing companies that are part of the holding, this facility will become a single logistics center. If previously wholesale partners had to organize shoe shipments from three footwear enterprises of the holding according to their production specialization, then after the launch of the "Marko" TLC, all footwear will be shipped centrally from one warehouse. This is more mobile and convenient for wholesale buyers. In addition, the center is located on the outskirts of the city (at Beshenkovichskoye Shosse, 54), away from dense traffic, which allows for free movement of trucks to the logistics center.

The area of the finished goods warehouse of the TLC is 10 thousand sq.m and can accommodate one million pairs of shoes at the same time. In the future, the warehouse complex can be expanded by almost half by building a similar facility nearby. The engineering infrastructure, designed to service an area of at least 20 thousand sq.m, allows for this.

The opening of the "Marko" trade and logistics center will please not only wholesale clients of the holding company but also retail customers. A significant part of the two floors of the shopping complex will be occupied by a store of a new format for the region – an outlet (as a rule, this is the sale of products from past collections of famous brands at affordable prices). It will provide consumers with the opportunity for European-style shopping with constant sales. Here, you will be able to purchase a range of footwear from Marko, Bravo, "Belkelme", bags and leather goods from the "VitMa" enterprise, and products from the Vitebsk Fur Combine.
