105,000 public sector employees in the Vitebsk region will receive financial assistance for agricultural products

In the Vitebsk region, 105 thousand public sector employees will receive financial assistance for the purchase of agricultural products, the financial department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. Payments to employees of the region's public sector, including civil servants and military personnel, have already begun. The total amount of support provided to them will be Br52.6 billion. By October 1, about 300 thousand unemployed pensioners and benefit recipients in the Vitebsk region will also receive financial assistance totaling over Br140 billion. In order to provide additional support to citizens, Decree No. 417 "On one-time financial assistance" provides for the provision of one-time financial assistance in the amount of Br500 thousand to persons who, as of September 1, 2011, were employees of the public sector, including civil servants and military personnel, benefit recipients (for childcare, for a disabled child, and for a Group I disabled person), and unemployed pensioners. In order to ensure equal opportunities for citizens, the heads of organizations whose employees are not covered by the decree are recommended to pay one-time financial assistance to their employees based on the financial capabilities of the organizations. -0-
