The Vitebsk residents' dream of a ride on a white steamboat in July will become a reality

Vitebsk residents' dream of a white steamboat cruise will become a reality in July this year, assured the acting director of the municipal unitary enterprise "Capital Construction of Vitebsk" Mikhail Mishko, to a BELTA correspondent. The enterprise held a tender, based on the results of which it concluded a contract with the republican unitary operational and construction enterprise "Dnieper-Bug Waterway" from Pinsk for the construction of five piers and the deepening of the Western Dvina river fairway from the Blokhin Bridge to the Soviet Army Recreation Park. Thus, the main waterway, which crosses Vitebsk from north to south, will become navigable again after decades, and citizens and tourists will have the opportunity to admire the historical part of the city from the water. Two steamboats will be purchased for such cruises. In accordance with the concluded agreement, construction work will begin in February and will be completed five months later - by July of the current year. The cost of the work at current prices will be Br2.7 billion. -0-
