A new type of social assistance – targeted housing subsidies (07/21/2017)

They are provided for by Decree No. 240 "On State Support for Citizens in the Construction or Reconstruction of Residential Premises," which the President of Belarus signed on July 4. Now, commercial banks will also be able to issue preferential loans. However, the state will assume part of the payments, either on interest or on the principal debt. Recipients of subsidies are all citizens who are entitled to state support in accordance with Decree No. 13 of the President of Belarus. Funds will be paid out in turn and on a targeted basis. The first of the 16 categories of beneficiaries to receive support will be large families.
