The media project "Miru-75" is launching in the Vitebsk region
The initiative is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. Young people intend to carry out large-scale research work on the history of the Great Patriotic War, identify interesting life stories of war participants and underage concentration camp prisoners, and trace the combat path of Heroes of the Soviet Union, natives of the Vitebsk region, who received this high title for the liberation of the region.
To this end, activists of primary organizations plan to study archival data, meet with war participants and their relatives living in their cities and districts. All collected information will then be posted on BRSM internet resources and published in the local press.
The project, designed to remind of the feats, military deeds, and fates of soldiers and participants of the Great Patriotic War, their contribution to the formation of the modern state, will be carried out throughout the year with the support of the regional military commissariat, the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Hero of the Soviet Union M.F. Shmyrev, and local authorities.
