14 ambulances were handed over to medics in the Vitebsk region
Two vehicles each will be sent to the districts - the new equipment will operate in Gorodok, Shumilino, Senno, Beshenkovichi, and Liozno, and four cars will remain in Vitebsk. The chief physician of the regional ambulance service center, Viktor Gomonov, said that the cars are equipped with a defibrillator, ventilators, and ECG machines, and an oxygen inhaler. "Modern equipment will help provide emergency medical care on-site, for injuries, sudden illnesses, and en route to the hospital," the chief physician noted. According to him, not counting this update, the service has received 67 new vehicles over the past five years.

In the Vitebsk region, the ambulance service is undergoing reorganization with the creation of head institutions. In addition to Vitebsk, inter-district centers will be established in Orsha, Polotsk, and Glubokoye in the coming years. The ambulance services of the districts adjacent to them will be subordinate to these cities.
