A month of ensuring safe working conditions in the winter period is being held in the Vitebsk region

As reported by the Committee for Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, a set of measures aimed at ensuring the safety of citizens, prevention and warning of accidents involving people in the winter period, will be carried out

in the Vitebsk region until February 22.

Special attention is paid to issues of preventing ❄️????adverse effects of low temperatures at workplaces, increasing labor productivity and performance.

Workers of certain professions, due to the nature of their work, are forced to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions: construction workers, road workers, track layers, etc. The main task of the employer is to ensure safe working conditions, provide for additional breaks for heating and rest, and issue protective equipment for working in low air temperatures.

In accordance with the order of the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee N.N. Sherstnev "On ensuring safe working conditions in the winter period", heads are instructed under their personal responsibility to:

• organize work on clearing snow and ice from the roofs of residential buildings, industrial and social facilities, territories and communication routes;
• ensure timely gritting of territories with anti-skid mixtures;
• conduct inspections of ventilation systems and heat curtains.

In case of detection of facilities in a state of disrepair or posing a danger to others, their operation is to be ❗️immediately suspended.

Representatives of control and supervisory bodies are instructed to intensify efforts to suppress violations of labor protection legislation and to pay attention to compliance with the requirements of Directive No. 1.
