Local authorities must widely inform people about repair and improvement works - Anatoly Linevich

Местные власти должны широко информировать людей о ремонтных работах и благоустройстве - Анатолий Линевич

Local authorities should widely inform people about repair and improvement works. This was stated today to journalists by the President's Aide – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, Anatoly Linevich, following a personal reception of citizens in Polotsk.

Two out of the four issues that local residents raised with Anatoly Linevich at the reception concerned this very topic. In particular, residents of one of the houses on Armeyskaya Street in the village of Vetrino approached him regarding the improvement of their adjacent territory and the construction of pedestrian paths. Applicants from the village of Farinovo were also concerned about the condition of the streets in their settlement.

"The issues of improving yard territories and carrying out repair works are among the most pressing when citizens approach personal receptions. Therefore, information on them should be disseminated widely and actively: in newspapers, on radio, television, and local internet resources. We also need to meet with people more often, then they will know what is happening and what to expect. Consequently, there will be fewer appeals," - the President's Aide is convinced.

Other appeals were related to the personal issues of citizens. "Previously, explanations and answers were already provided for them, including those issued by the court, which can only be overturned by higher authorities. Nevertheless, it is necessary to listen to people's statements, consider all aspects of the issue again, and try to resolve them," - noted the President's Aide.

Anatoly Linevich added that he plans to hold such meetings with the population regularly. Among the most popular appeals are housing, improvement, and roads. He intends to pay increased attention to these topics. At the same time, Anatoly Linevich emphasized that when there are serious issues, residents should more actively contact representatives of local authorities. This will help to draw attention to them and speed up their resolution.
