The inter-academy council needs to be granted expert status for union program projects - Yu. Dubinsky

April 15, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Belarusian-Russian inter-academy council on the development of the Union State needs to be granted the status of an expert council for evaluating union programs. This opinion was expressed in a conversation with a BELTA correspondent by Yuri Dubinsky, Deputy State Secretary and member of the Standing Committee of the Union State. He is taking part in the meeting of the inter-academy council on the development of the Union State, which opened today in Vitebsk. In the context of developing a single economic space, many issues arise, the resolution of which requires not only economic calculations but also serious scientific approaches. According to the interlocutor, the need to develop a scientific assessment of union program projects has matured. "The mechanism for allocating funds for project implementation has been worked out, but the mechanism for making decisions on the content of the project has not been developed," he said. The inter-academy council can provide an expert assessment and determine the feasibility of implementing projects in practice. At this stage, officials carry out the assessment. "The role of science is increasing, not only in solving specific problems but also in assessing possible solutions and actions taken by officials and manufacturers," Yuri Dubinsky is confident. The inter-academy council can be accredited as a public organization empowered to issue expert opinions. No costs will be required for this, as funds are allocated within the programs themselves. This is not about a fundamental change in approaches, but about their improvement in connection with the further deepening of integration, Yuri Dubinsky emphasized. -0-
