The international rally "Slavic Cup" will be held in the Braslav district on May 21-22
April 28, Minsk / Yulia Vanina - BELTA /. Preparations for the international rally "Slavic Cup" have begun in Belarus. The race will take place in the Braslav district of the Vitebsk region on May 21-22, the DOSAAF press center informed a BELTA correspondent.
The most important feature of the upcoming competitions is that within the framework of the "Slavic Cup", not only one of the stages of the Belarusian rally championship will be held, but also an away stage of the Open Russian Rally Championship. This is an unprecedented event for modern Belarusian motorsport, the press center noted.
Thus, Belarus expects a real landing of Russian athletes in May, and, undoubtedly, guests from Ukraine, Lithuania and Latvia will also visit Braslav. After all, recently the lake region has become famous not only for its beautiful landscapes, but also for its first-class rally special stages, which are comparable to the best tracks in the Baltic countries. In some places very fast, in others very technical, they are extremely demanding on the crew's work and do not forgive the slightest mistake. A feature of the local special stages is the constant change of rhythm, an abundance of complex combinations and the "three-dimensionality" typical of Baltic tracks. Among the advantages of the Braslav races are the smooth, car-friendly surface, a compact route, and a high level of safety.
It is too early to talk about the details of the upcoming rally, but it is already known that the competitions will take place over two days, during which participants will have to cover 385 km, of which 155 km will be on special stages. -0-
