The International Economic Forum and the Republican Universal Exhibition-Fair will be held in Orsha
The economic forum will bring together about 100 participants. On the first day, residents of Orsha and representatives of twin cities Qingdao and Yiwu (China), Gagarin, Vyazma, Dubna, Tver, Ivanovo (Russia) will discuss online the expansion of economic cooperation boundaries. Also, participants of the teleconference will talk about the opportunities that are opening up for foreign businessmen in their cities and countries.
A memorandum of cooperation between the pilot zone of the "China - SCO" regional trade and economic cooperation and "Bremino-Group" LLC will be signed at the forum. In cooperation with the Chinese side, a Confucius classroom of the Republican Institute of Sinology named after Confucius of Belarusian State University will be opened at Orsha Secondary School No. 16.
The key theme of the second day of the economic forum will be the development of small entrepreneurship. Support for this sphere at the regional and state levels, digitalization of the agro-industrial complex, and specifics of small business development in rural areas will be discussed at practical seminars, panel discussions, presentations, and webinars. Organizers will talk about projects implemented in the Orsha district under UNDP programs. There are four projects in the region, two of which are aimed at improving the quality of life for people with disabilities. Also, on the second day, the Center for Support of Youth Entrepreneurship and the FabLab workshop will be opened.
On the third day, forum participants will exchange experience in the field of pension provision. There will be a live broadcast with Italy and Tver, during which online discussions will feature foreign experts talking about how social security issues for senior citizens are addressed in their countries. Humanitarian projects implemented in the Orsha region will be presented by representatives of the district territorial center for social services for the population, who are actively working with people with disabilities and pensioners.
The career guidance job fair will run for all days of the forum. At the fair, schoolchildren will be able to learn about universities and secondary vocational schools in the district and the region, as well as the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy. Representatives of educational institutions will talk about the specialties that young men and women can obtain, and will inform about the admission deadlines and plans for the upcoming academic year.
The Republican Universal Exhibition-Fair "Orsha Traditions" will offer buyers and guests from abroad a wide selection of domestic and foreign products. Representatives of business circles from the twin cities of Orsha will present their food and non-food products. For example, Smolensk traditionally brings all kinds of fish to the fair. The assortment in the trade rows will also include sewing products of both Belarusian and Russian production. In addition, visitors to the exhibition will be able to purchase goods for the upcoming Easter.
On May 1, the forum results will be summed up and diplomas will be awarded to participants.
The organizers of the event - the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Orsha District Executive Committee - invite residents and guests of Orsha to the forum and exhibition-fair. The grand opening will take place on April 28 at 10:00 AM in the Ice Arena building.
