The international sports and music festival will be held in Braslav on July 5-6
The international sports and music festival "VIVA BRASLAU" will be held in Braslav on July 5-6, the Braslav District Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent.
The festival will open on July 5 with a sailing regatta on Lake Drivyaty. On Saturday, July 6, competitions in beach soccer, beach volleyball, and darts, as well as competitive kayak races, will take place on the city beach in Braslav. The international competition of young pop singers "Bella Melody-2013" will be held at the stadium, after which the festival guests will enjoy a performance by the rock band "Leisver", a LED show, a fire show, and a night disco.
Sports teams and young performers from the border regions of Belarus, Latvia, and Lithuania: Vitebsk region, Latgale, and Aukštaitija will take part in the festival.
The international sports and music festival "VIVA BRASLAU" is held under the project "Promotion of tourism development in the border regions of Latgale, Utena, and Vitebsk" ("Bella Dvina") of the cross-border cooperation program of Latvia, Lithuania, and Belarus. The total project budget is 1.7 million euros (90% of the amount is co-financing from the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument for the cross-border cooperation program of the three countries).
