April 28, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. A drunk man from Minsk tried to conceal a failed stunt at a Lepel gas station by offering a bribe of Br400,000, reported Yevgeny Lapkovsky, head of the anti-corruption and organized crime department of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, to a BELTA correspondent.
On the Minsk-Vitebsk highway near the village of Rudnya, a 24-year-old man, while intoxicated, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a gas station. Trying to conceal the fact of the accident he was involved in, the young man decided to offer a bribe of Br400,000 to a traffic police officer.
As it turned out, the visitor had something to hide: at the end of 2010, he had already been brought to administrative responsibility for drunk driving, which resulted in the deprivation of his driving license for three years, and law enforcement officers found a wild boar carcass in the trunk of his car.
Now, three criminal cases have been initiated against the man from Minsk for attempted bribery, repeat drunk driving, and illegal hunting. An investigation is underway. -0-
