Minister of Communications and Informatization in Sharkovshchina: "The issue of closing post offices must be under special control of local authorities"
This opinion was expressed by Minister of Communications and Informatization of Belarus Sergei Popkov during a meeting with employees of the Sharkovshchyna post office of the Glubokoye RUPS and the Glubokoye zonal telecommunication node, organized as part of the work of republican information groups.
The conversation with the residents of the town was dedicated to the rational use of natural resources.
Based on the information provided by the information and analytical center under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Petrovich spoke about the importance of developing green energy, the country's international cooperation with other states on environmental protection, and the implementation of resource-saving measures.
Summing up the work of the post offices for the first 5 months of the current year, Sergei Popkov noted the effectiveness of the advanced technologies being introduced and the measures to modernize the industry. The issue of consolidating district post offices was also discussed. By the end of the year, there will be 30 of them in the country.
– The issue of closing post offices should be under special control of local authorities, – noted Sergei Petrovich. – It is important to consider the opinion of villagers, strictly adhere to the schedules of mobile post offices, and equip waiting areas for postal service vehicles.
