The Miory Meat Processing Plant invested 300 thousand euros in the expansion of its dry-cured products production

July 30, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Miory Meat Processing Plant OJSC has invested 300 thousand euros in the expansion of production of smoked and dry-cured products, the enterprise informed a BELTA correspondent. These funds were used to purchase German equipment, which will increase the output of smoked and dry-cured products from 35 tons to 50 tons per month. The equipment has been installed in the existing sausage workshop. The first batch is planned to be produced in September. In total, in the first half of the year, the plant allocated Br1.2 billion for production development. Investments also covered the purchase of an ice generator for the sausage workshop, refrigeration units for the technical products workshop, and other auxiliary equipment. In January-June, the enterprise produced products worth Br20.6 billion, which is 26.9% more than in the first half of 2008. During this period, over 2 thousand tons of first-category meat and offal were produced (growth rate 124%), 724 tons of sausage products (92.3%), 65 tons of semi-finished products (69.1%), and 88 tons of food fats (123.9%). The energy saving indicator, due to the commissioning of a new boiler house in 2008, amounted to minus 31.7% against the target of minus 13.5%. Labor productivity increased by 17.6%. Exports in the first half of the year increased more than fivefold to $3.4 million. The significant increase in this indicator is due to active supplies of first-category beef to the Russian market, which received 1.1 thousand tons of this product in January-June. Last year, such work was not carried out until May due to the absence of a special permit, specialists explained. The enterprise was founded in 1965. It specializes in the production of meat products, sausage products, smoked products, and semi-finished products. The range of products manufactured includes about 300 items.-0-
