Soft cheese of the mozzarella type will begin to be produced in Verkhnedvinsk

Soft cheese of the mozzarella type will be produced in Verkhnedvinsk, Director of Open Joint Stock Company "Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory" Petr Lavrinov told a BELTA correspondent. The joint-stock company and one of the well-known Russian companies have become founders of the joint limited liability company "Verkhny Lug," which will specialize in the production of soft cheeses. The new enterprise occupies old unused premises of the Verkhnedvinsk Butter and Cheese Factory. The Russian side intends to invest about 2 million euros in the enterprise. The funds will be directed towards construction and installation work and the purchase of equipment. Production capacities will amount to 20-40 tons of milk processing per day. The launch of production is planned for 2012. As Petr Lavrinov noted, soft cheese of the mozzarella type is produced in Belarus in small volumes, while in Europe its share in the consumption structure is quite high. -0-
