Young Belarusian participants of "Vitebsk-2011" feel confident after the first competition day
July 13, Vitebsk / Tatyana Pastushenko - BELTA /. Belarusian participants of the IX International Children's Music Competition "Vitebsk-2011", which is held at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", feel confident after the first competitive day, reports a BELTA correspondent.
As Ani Atroshchenko's vocal coach Irina Romanovskaya told a BELTA correspondent, the young performer has good impressions, and she is in an optimistic and cheerful mood. Confidence is boosted by the good organization of the children's competition, which is made in a fairy-tale style this year. The decorations of "Wonderland" from Lewis Carroll's fairy tale were moved to the "Vitebsk" concert hall, where the competition is held, after the suburban draw. "I believe in Ani's strengths, in her ability to become one of the laureates," said Irina Romanovskaya. She also noted that the young artists have managed to become friends, communicate and warm up together before rehearsals and performances.
Svetlana, the mother of the second Belarusian contestant of "Vitebsk-2011", Sasha Nekhay, said that the young artist performed well, but was a little nervous before the concert. Despite this, the song "Savka dy Grishka" in her performance sounded confident, for which Sasha received flowers from fans. Svetlana also noted that the contestants have become good friends during their stay in Vitebsk, communicate and give each other souvenirs.
Considering that children are participating in the competition, the organizers of the music competition gave them the opportunity to rest a little before going on stage, and the acts were interspersed with performances by children's groups.
The audience's support, which welcomed them very warmly, helped the participants cope with their nervousness.
Today, the young talents are expecting their second competitive performance, where they will present a pop song that most vividly reflects their performing skills and artistic abilities. Anya will perform the Russian folk song "Vyidu na ulitsu", and Sasha will perform a remix of the song "Spyat ustalyye igrushki" and the lullaby from the famous cartoon "The Bremen Town Musicians". Today, the girls will perform under numbers 7 and 20.
The children's "Vitebsk" differs from the adult one in that the jury members never comment on the participants' performances and do not announce scores at the end of the competition days. The results will be announced at the gala concert on July 14, when the winners will be awarded. At the same time, speaking with journalists, the chairman of the "junior" jury, Honored Artist of Russia Sergey Shustitsky, noted that in terms of performance level, the children's competition has never been inferior to the adult one, and the task of professional judges is to identify talent in aspiring artists and help it develop.
The vocal skills of the contestants are evaluated by the Grand Prix winner of "Vitebsk-2004" Pyotr Elfimov (Belarus), popular Bulgarian singer Vlado Dimov, laureate of "Vitebsk-2006" Evelina (Lithuania), laureate of "Vitebsk-2007" Seb Sebastian (Poland), Grand Prix winner of "Vitebsk-2002" Ziki (Serbia), singer, Honored Artist of Ukraine Petya Cherny.-0-
