OPINION. Denis Karas: "The priority is security and peaceful skies, we will achieve everything else!"

Denis Karas, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, delegate of the VII All-Belarusian People's Congress:

- Today, the agenda for the second day of the meeting includes issues of approving the Concept of National Security and the Military Doctrine. We are well aware that the development of a civilized society is impossible without security, particularly demographic, economic, digital, and in other areas. It is right that this concept is approved by society in the person of delegates who represent the entire population of our country. We are aimed at ensuring that future generations live comfortably and safely on this land. I expected that the speech of the President of the Republic of Belarus on the first day of the meeting would focus on issues of sovereignty and security, rather than the topic of the country's socio-economic development. I understand better than anyone how difficult everything is right now. As a member of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, I attended the offline assembly in Yerevan and, having communicated, as the President says, with these "crazy" people, I realized that the priority is security and a peaceful sky, and we will obtain everything else!
