OPINION. Sergey Semyonchyov: "The new constitutional status of the body indicates that our people are more united than ever"
Sergey Semyonchev, Chairman of the Miory District Executive Committee, on the President's speech:
- President Alexander Lukashenko spoke about the situation in the world, the country's economy, and the challenges and threats. He emphasized that today is a historic day for Belarus: the All-Belarusian People's Assembly is starting its work for the first time in a constitutional status. He explained the significance of the BNA as a new stage in the country's political life. At the same time, he recalled that the first BNA thirty years ago saved Belarus from collapse.
- The new constitutional status of the body indicates that our people are more united than ever. We are improving the political system model with our inherent thoughtfulness and with an eye to the future. We are also implementing progressive Western European methods, provided they do not contradict our principles and values.
