Mobile programming can become a promising area for Belarusian-Indian cooperation

February 17, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA/. Mobile device programming can become a promising and interesting area of cooperation between Belarusian and Indian IT specialists. This opinion was expressed to a BELTA correspondent by Apoorva Kohli, a member of the technical council of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC). In Vitebsk, he is visiting the regional branch of the Belarusian-Indian training center in IT, established at the Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov. According to Apoorva Kohli, active efforts are being made in Belarus to develop information technologies, and the High-Tech Park plays an important role in this development. Cooperation with Indian specialists provides Belarusian partners with access to the latest achievements and developments in the IT sector. One of the promising areas of interaction could be mobile device programming, particularly for the Android platform, as well as programming in the Linux operating system. "In these areas, CDAC can organize training for Belarusian students in India," added Apoorva Kohli. The regional branch of the Belarusian-Indian training center was established at VSU within the framework of a project implemented by the High-Tech Park in cooperation with India's CDAC. The branch is opened on the basis of the Faculty of Mathematics to improve the quality of training for future IT specialists and enhance the qualifications of university teachers. A specially equipped classroom with 10 workstations will allow for maximum utilization of the potential of information and communication technologies in the educational process, participation in video and internet conferences held by the High-Tech Park, as well as obtaining up-to-date information on the latest trends and directions in IT development, and adopting best practices in this field. As noted by Alexander Martinkevich, Deputy Director of the HTP Administration, the uniqueness of the project lies in the fact that the created infrastructure allows attracting qualified teachers not only from Minsk but also from other countries to the educational process. Their lectures will be available to both students in the capital and audiences in all four regional branches of the Belarusian-Indian training center. In addition, the potential of the centers allows students and specialists to independently undergo training on courses that will be offered at the training center. "We guarantee that specialists who have completed training in such courses will acquire competencies in demand by HTP resident companies, which also have their representative offices in regional centers and are interested in attracting qualified employees," emphasized Alexander Martinkevich. -0-
