A model business plan for the creation of a transport and logistics center has been developed in the Vitebsk region

A model business plan for the creation of a regional transport and logistics center in the Vitebsk airport area for potential investors has been developed by specialists of the communal scientific and consulting unitary enterprise "Vitebsk Center for Regional Studies and Development". The development was carried out by order of the regional executive committee, the director of the enterprise Natalya Berchenko told a BELTA correspondent. The model business plan reflects a set of investment measures for the implementation of the project, including the justification of the volume of investment costs and the calculation of the payback period of investments. The main goal of the project is to create a convenient infrastructure for organizations engaged in transportation, storage and delivery of goods to consumers, as well as for business entities of the Vitebsk and Novopolotsk industrial zones. It is assumed that the transport and logistics center will become a multimodal cargo terminal providing a full range of services that meet world standards. In addition, the transport and logistics center will conduct research on the market of freight forwarding services, as well as collect, process and analyze information about its participants, including establishing cooperation with partners from other countries. The implementation of such projects will increase the efficiency of the transit potential of the territory, increase the volume of export services, and create promising jobs. The development of Vitebsk specialists may be in demand by initiators of similar projects, as well as by public administration bodies when searching for investors for specific projects. The use of a model business plan provides an opportunity to provide a potential investor with a full package of practical information on the project, including the specifics of the type of business under consideration, risk assessment for the project, and legislation regulating this area of activity. In addition, the business plan provides an opportunity to choose the most optimal conditions for project implementation based on a comparison of various options, including project financing.
