The modernization of two prefabricated panel plants will be completed in the Vitebsk region this year

January 12, Novopolotsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The modernization of two large-panel housing construction plants (LPHC) will be completed in the Vitebsk region this year. This was announced today to journalists by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Kosinets. He familiarized himself with the progress of the reconstruction of the branch of OAO "Construction and Installation Trust No. 16" LPHC plant in Novopolotsk, BELTA correspondent reports. In accordance with the republican program for the modernization of LPHC plants, the "LPHC Plant" branch of the Vitebsk House-Building Combine will be commissioned in June. Thanks to new Italian equipment, the enterprise's capacity will increase 2.5 times and reach 250 thousand sq.m. Investments in the renovation will amount to about Br200 billion. By September of this year, a modern Finnish line at the Novopolotsk LPHC plant should be launched. The enterprise's capacity will increase from 36 thousand sq.m to 100 thousand sq.m. The total investment in equipment modernization will be 9.5 million euros. As Alexander Kosinets noted, the renovation of LPHC plants will allow for the construction of energy-efficient and economical housing for citizens in need of improved housing conditions. The increase in the enterprises' capacity will allow for the elimination of apartment queues in the shortest possible time. Currently, in the Vitebsk region, there are queues for housing improvement in Vitebsk, Polotsk, Novopolotsk, Orsha, Glubokoye, Lepel. In other districts, there are no such queues: housing is built as housing construction cooperatives are formed, or there are vacant apartments in new buildings. This year, 830 thousand sq.m of housing is to be built in the region. In 2010, 620 thousand sq.m of housing was commissioned. -0-
