An upgraded X-ray room has been opened at the Vitebsk Emergency Hospital
The modern stationary X-ray diagnostic apparatus "Kosmos 535" has been installed in a renovated X-ray room. The cost of the equipment is 188 thousand rubles. 174 thousand rubles have been allocated for the modernization of the X-ray room premises for the installation of the new apparatus.
- Today, opening the X-ray room at the trauma center of the emergency hospital, I must note that its relevance is primarily due to the fact that an old model apparatus was used here before, - noted Mikhail Vishnevetsky, Head of the Main Department of Healthcare of the Regional Executive Committee. - Now a digitized apparatus of Belarusian production is installed here, which will allow, firstly, to reduce the load on both the patient and the medical worker. It allows for much faster information processing and conclusion. Secondly, considering the specifics of today's weather, when the trauma center is a place of close attention (not by their own will) of our citizens, we want the information processing to be as fast as possible, accordingly, to assist traumatologists and neurosurgeons, and to prescribe treatment as quickly as possible. This is the fourth such Belarusian X-ray apparatus installed in the regional center this year.
Answering correspondents' questions about the nearest plans for further development, Mikhail Vishnevetsky noted that a computed tomography scanner has already been received for the emergency hospital at the expense of the republican budget, which will replace the old one, and will be a significant aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. Construction and installation work has already begun here, the premises will be prepared in the near future, and the CT scanner will be commissioned at the beginning of next year. Also, by the end of the year, it is planned to open a 166-bed inpatient facility at the "Zhemchuzhina" children's rehabilitation and health center.
