Moldova is interested in establishing joint winemaking enterprises in the Vitebsk region
March 18, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. A delegation of Moldovan businessmen will visit the Vitebsk region. This was agreed today during a business meeting between the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Moldova to Belarus Ivan Filimon at the economic forum in Vitebsk, BELTA correspondent reports.
"Economic relations between Belarus and Moldova are developing dynamically. Over the past year, the volume of bilateral trade turnover amounted to more than $380 million. In order for this figure to be larger, it is necessary to develop and deepen cooperation, primarily at the regional level," Ivan Filimon emphasized.
The diplomat also noted that the economies of the two countries are complementary, not competing, which opens up broad prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation. For example, Moldova is interested in creating joint winemaking enterprises in the Vitebsk region and opening production with Belarusian capital for the production of hybrid seeds in Moldova.
The current economic forum in Vitebsk will give a new impetus to the development of economic and cultural ties between Belarus and Moldova, the ambassador is confident. -0-
