Prayers for sober families and youth will be held in Mosar, Vitebsk region on October 2

September 28, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Prayers for the sobriety of families will be held in Mosar (Glubokoye district of Vitebsk region) on Sobriety Day on October 2, the Mosar parish of the Roman Catholic Church of Belarus informed a BELTA correspondent. The tradition of Sobriety Day was initiated in 2007 by the then parish priest Father Yuzef Bulka and representatives of Alcoholics Anonymous. At their suggestion, the Alley of Sobriety was laid near the Church of St. Anne. On the current Sobriety Day, a figure of Christ will be consecrated in the alley, and then believers will pray for the sobriety of families, youth, and the entire nation before the relics of St. Justin. As noted by Mikhail Cherepkovsky, head of the ideological work department of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee, a sobriety zone has been operating in the village of Mosar since the summer of 2009 on the initiative of the now deceased Yuzef Bulka and with the support of parishioners: alcohol is not sold in stores. -0-
