A dairy farm complex and a bread museum were opened in the Vitebsk region during the local "Dozhinki" festival

Молочно-товарный комплекс и музей хлеба открыли в Витебском районе на местных «Дожинках»
The solemn opening of the "Mishutki" dairy complex took place in the Vitebsk region last weekend.

This production site of the "Vymno" branch, which is part of OJSC "Moloko", will be used for the reproduction of the milking herd. According to Mikhail Pinchuk, General Director of the joint-stock company, it is planned to raise young cattle from 6 months of age and older in Mishutki, which will subsequently replenish the main herd of the farm. The complex is designed to accommodate 800 heifers, with plans to expand its capacity to one thousand heads in the future.

Agricultural Production Cooperative "Vymno" became part of OJSC "Moloko" in 2015 in accordance with the decision of the regional executive committee. Work on the complex in Mishutki began in 2016, but the main volume of work was actually completed in 2017-2018, when builders from departmental meat and dairy industry organizations took over the facility. As a result of the reconstruction, good conditions have been created for keeping young cattle and achieving technological weight gains, noted Mikhail Pinchuk. The "Mishutki" complex, built in 1978 and fallen into disrepair by the early 2000s, can serve as a vivid example of the revitalization of agricultural facilities that OJSC "Moloko" is carrying out to expand its raw material zone and ultimately increase product competitiveness.

— For the sustainable development of processing production, it is necessary to have raw materials today, so after the "Vymno" farm became part of OJSC "Moloko", it was decided to reconstruct the complex, — Mikhail Pinchuk reported. — There is still work to be done in this branch to put the workshops in order; four small-scale farms need to be repaired. In addition, by decision of the regional executive committee, four farms in the Liozno district have been transferred to our trust management, which will also allow us to expand the raw material zone.

Today, "Vymno" supplies about 12 tons of milk per day to the parent enterprise. In total, the production capacities of OJSC "Moloko" allow processing up to 700 tons of raw materials per day.

For the first eight months of the current year, the joint-stock company produced almost 3.1 thousand tons of milk, with a growth rate of 104%

Investments in development do not stop, even despite the financial difficulties experienced by the enterprise, mainly due to the situation on the Russian market, whose share reached up to 75% of the total revenue.

The opening of the complex in Mishutki became one of the central production events of the regional festival-fair of rural workers "Dazhynki-2018".

— In the Vitebsk region, the task set by the President of Belarus back in 2014 to hold a rural workers' festival in one of the district centers, and in the regions — in one of the agro-towns, is being strictly fulfilled. A clear example is the Vitebsk region, which honored agricultural workers in Surazh in 2016, in Yanovichi the following year, and today the celebrations are unfolding in Vymno, — noted **Vladimir Terentyev, Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies**. — A lot has been done for the holiday to improve the material and technical base of agricultural enterprises and to improve social infrastructure.

At the same time, the Vitebsk region is the undisputed winner in grain and rapeseed harvesting in the Vitebsk region. And this once again confirms a simple truth: where there is a desire to work, where people are taught to love the land, results are achieved.

As **Viktor Dorozhkin, Chairman of the District Council of Deputies**, noted, when preparing the agro-town for the celebration, the emphasis was on solving the current problems of the settlement. 6 km of roads were repaired, a pedestrian path was made, and yard areas were asphalted.

A significant amount of work has been done on the housing stock, the school has been put in order, where the sports and assembly halls have been renovated, and equipment has been purchased.

By the way, a museum hall "From Grain to Loaf" was opened at the educational institution for the holiday, with bread at the center of its exposition.

Numerous guests were able to appreciate the changes in Vymno, including many distinguished workers of public administration, the agro-industrial complex of the Vitebsk region, and heroes of the district's victorious harvest.

The gross grain harvest exceeded 80 thousand tons, the state order was fulfilled by 107%, and a record yield of 22 centners per hectare was set in the rapeseed field, with a total harvest of this crop reaching 12.5 thousand tons.

— 105 grain harvesting combines worked daily in the grain fields, 32 crews overcame the thousand-ton mark in threshing, and 19 drivers transported a thousand tons of grain or more during the harvest, — summarized the **Chairman of the District Executive Committee Gennady Sabinich**.

Acknowledging the contribution to the district's development by experienced and successful leaders such as Anna Norkus from JSC "Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory", Mikhail Pinchuk from JSC "Moloko" of Vitebsk, and several others, Gennady Sabinich also paid tribute to young managers who enthusiastically took on their roles. For example, under the leadership of Vitaly Vorobyov, the "Vymno" branch significantly increased its harvest.

The team of JSC "Vozrozhdenie" led by Oleg Lazovsky is improving its farming skills. Gennady Sabinich is confident that the future of the Motherland, both great and small, depends on young and ambitious specialists who combine purposefulness and initiative.
