Youth information groups will visit Vitebsk enterprises

A meeting of the youth information group with the working youth of OJSC "Znamya Industrializatsii" was held in an open dialogue format.

The main topic of the meeting was motherhood and childhood. Since "ZI" is predominantly a women's enterprise, the issues of health and medical care for mothers and their children were most relevant here.

For example, Viktor Salarev, Deputy Chief Physician for Medical Affairs at the Regional Clinical Center for Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology, spoke, among other things, about the services provided free of charge at the center for pregnant women.

Anna Bobrovich, Chief Specialist of the Social Protection Department of the Administration of the Oktyabrsky District of Vitebsk, reported on the benefits that mothers can count on after childbirth, during childcare leave, or for children requiring special care.

It is gratifying that there are young people at the enterprise who are thinking about expanding their families.

As Viktor Glushin, First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the BRSM, noted, our state is trying to solve the demographic problem along with economic development, as one is inseparable from the other. For example, two years ago, over 98,000 people aged 14 to 31 lived in Vitebsk. Now the figure has decreased to 93,000.

This trend is due to migration processes, when young people leave to seek a better life abroad, and older people from other countries come to our region: Ukraine, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, etc. Some have historical roots or relatives here, while others seek a safe place to live and choose the Vitebsk region. In any case, the process of population aging is clearly evident.

Regarding the concerns of young people, enterprise employees reported a shortage of playgrounds on Gagarin Street. Only two were cited as good examples, one of which is located near a newly built house. The condition of the swings and slides on the others is deplorable. Viktor Glushin instructed Viktoria Krishtafovich, the first secretary of the Oktyabrsky District organization of the BRSM, to study the condition of the courtyard play areas.

In addition, young employees of the enterprise inquired about where and how the ice rinks will be flooded in winter, and in turn offered assistance in clearing snow when necessary. Viktor Glushin noted that the BRSM youth organization will fully support this and other initiatives of young people and help in their implementation.

Thus, these meetings contribute to a two-way dialogue, identifying problems faced by ordinary people in their daily lives and at work, and finding ways to eliminate them.

This is the first such event in the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk. In the future, youth information groups will visit other enterprises to answer pressing questions.
