A young electric welder from the Vitebsk region, under the influence of spice drugs, cut off his finger and attempted to kill a taxi driver

...Egor lived in the district center and always had a good reputation: he finished school with grades of "4" and "5" (on a five-point scale), entered a lyceum, where for a year and a half there were no complaints either, but then he had to leave his studies because his mother could not afford to help her son. He returned home and started working in a collective farm, where they couldn't praise the hardworking young man enough. Egor saved money and got a profession as a gas and electric welder, constantly improving his skills, and one day he was offered to go to Russia for work. That's when he, along with two friends, fell into a trap: spice. At first, they shared a dose among three, but his body began to demand more and more, and soon he was using three packets alone. He would get up to smoke even at night. And one day, under the influence of drugs, he broke a window with his foot and suffered a serious injury. By the time he was found, he had lost a lot of blood and experienced clinical death. Doctors pulled the guy back from the brink of death, and he continued to work. But soon he came to the attention of law enforcement agencies again: he inflicted grievous bodily harm on someone, and since he was put on the wanted list, he went back to his homeland. But his psyche was disturbed, he became very irritable. At home, while drinking with friends, he fell into a state of causeless aggression and hit someone on the head with a bottle. Another person's face was cut by flying fragments, and he started making claims against Egor, but in response, he received a blow to the face with a stone. Once, his mother, who worked as a watchman, sent Egor to work in her place. When she came to check, she found him smiling senselessly with his thumb cut off. To his mother, father, and the arriving doctors, he said with a smile that a fairy on a straw had told him to cut off his finger — the guy had irreversible changes in his brain. That time, his mother managed to hide this fact, and her son threatened to hang himself if he was sent

to a psychiatric hospital. And 10 days later, he left home, was found 25 kilometers from the city, hitchhiking on the highway. Only one taxi driver dared to stop, whom Egor tried to kill, after which a criminal case was initiated. The guy was taken to the hospital, where he cut his veins. He was saved again. Only after that, he was finally sent to a psychiatric hospital.

The outcome is sad: to declare the guy incapacitated, he needs to be taken for an examination to Minsk, but his well-being, which periodically worsens, does not allow this. Egor asks his mother, who visits him, to bring him blades. And the woman, besides her son, has two younger children, and she cannot take care of the elder one. Moreover, in such a state, he needs constant supervision. That's how spice ruined a human life…
