Young BRSM activists will compete in Vitebsk for the title of the best primary organization in the country
In the final of the republican competition for the best primary organization of the BRSM, seven best teams from all regions of Belarus and Minsk - winners of regional selections - will compete for the challenge cup. It is noteworthy that in the Year of Youth, very different teams will meet on equal terms: primary organizations of the BRSM of secondary school No. 4 of Luninets (Brest region), military unit 5530 (Vitebsk), L. Vygotsky Gomel State Pedagogical College, Belkoopsoyuz Grodno Trade College, Borisov State College of Industry Technologies (Minsk region), Gymnasium No. 1 of Gorki (Mogilev region), and A. Sakharov International State Ecological University (Minsk).
The venue chosen is the Vitebsk Veterinary Academy, whose primary organization was recognized as the best based on the results of last year's youth project. The current contestants will have to present their activities, achievements, and interesting methods of working with youth in a creative and original form. This competition is a team event, while in the individual category "I am a Leader!" the secretaries of primary organizations will reveal their potential. Here, the highest number of points can be obtained for originality and resourcefulness, creative thinking, public speaking skills, and stage presence. In addition, the final includes a correspondence competition "Creative Portfolio," as well as the "Project Presentation for Union Youth" competition, in which teams will present initiatives implemented by the primary organization. The project should be aimed at creating a corporate spirit, favorable conditions for the development and support of youth initiatives.
In addition to the competitions themselves, the finalists will take part in the patriotic event "We Remember and We Are Proud": they will lay flowers at the memorial to the victims of fascism and honor the memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War with a moment of silence. The hosts, representatives of the Vitebsk Veterinary Academy, will introduce the guests to the activities of their primary BRSM organization and conduct a tour of the university museum.
As Dmitry Voronok noted, over 11.8 thousand primary organizations have been created and are operating in all regions of the country, uniting about half a million young men and women aged 14 to 31. A primary organization is the main link of the Youth Union, the foundation of the BRSM, as it is at the local level that youth leaders are identified, who can grow through the organization and improve their professional training, which is why this competition is given such great importance, believes the project coordinator.
