Young officers of the Investigative Committee in Vitebsk took the oath
On the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, a solemn ceremony of taking the oath by employees of the Investigative Committee Department for the Vitebsk Region was held at the Museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union Minay Filippovich Shmeryov. 18 young officers – 9 men and 9 women – swore allegiance to the Motherland and the Belarusian people in the presence of their senior comrades, relatives, and investigators veterans.
Before the event, representatives of the Investigative Committee Department for the Vitebsk Region laid wreaths and flowers at the monument to the Hero of the Soviet Union Minay Filippovich Shmeryov.
Veterans of the preliminary investigation bodies, representatives of state authorities delivered parting words, and the head of the Investigative Committee Department for the Vitebsk Region, Vladimir Shalukhin, congratulated the young officers.
During the solemn event, Vladimir Shalukhin noted that "the military oath is a symbol of devotion to the Motherland. By swearing allegiance to the Fatherland on these festive days, young officers pay tribute to the people who, 70 years ago, were a shining example of loyalty to their oath and their vow to always be devoted to the people. That is why taking the oath on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory is a great honor for every officer".
After the solemn ceremony of taking the oath, the young officers familiarized themselves with the museum's exhibits.
