"Monolith" launches the production of innovative products for the protection of electrical equipment against network surges
One of the new products will be a high-voltage varistor. According to specialists, this is a promising electrical engineering product, with no analogues in the post-Soviet space, and it is one of the most effective means of protecting electrical equipment from impulse voltage in emergency situations. For varistors, a section was organized at the enterprise, equipped with modern technological and testing equipment, including for the production of special mass, pressing, and firing of products. The preparation for mass production of the innovative product is currently being completed, but orders for its supply are already being received from Russian partners of "Monolit".
The launch of varistor production allows for an increase in the localization of another innovative import-substituting product produced on its basis, which was also developed by the enterprise's specialists – a non-linear overvoltage limiter. It will be manufactured in a polymer housing and is designed to protect electrical equipment of power grids, including open and closed type substations, from lightning discharges and sharp voltage fluctuations.
The third new product this year will be the production of polymer rod insulators, which are also import-substituting products. They are intended for use in railway contact networks, for insulation and fastening of live parts in electrical apparatus and switchgear, power plants, and substations.
